Five Must-Do Things In London This Summer

London is a bit of a central hub for activity, but there is so much to do in one place!

And it's always worth the trip! From family activities, a day out with friends, or enjoying some me-time, there's a lot of fun to be had.

Whether you live in London, close by or are heading there for a day trip, here are 5 things well worth putting on you list to do:

1) For The Exhibitionist: Visit the stunning David Hockney exhibit at The Light Rooms; Bigger & Closer (Not smaller & further away). Take a coffee and relax.

You see the artwork as Hockney paints it, as well as moving visuals and animations. And it's not just on the walls! Flowers appear across the floor with butterflies flitting about. Set to a back drop of atmospheric music and Hockney's personal narration. It really is one to see!

Enjoy the rest of the day by the canal and exploring Coal Drops Yard and Granary Square. Splash in the fountains and enjoy the delicious restaurants - some personal favs are Tacos El Pastor, Lina Stores and Vermuteria London.

2) For The Outdoors Day Out: Take a walk on Hampstead Heath and enjoy some of the amazing pubs and cafes around Highgate Village. You will be spoilt for choice on the food! We love The Flask Highgate for the food and The Southampton Arms NW5 for their indie brewery commitment.

3) For The Foodie: Rochelle Canteen offers the most delicious seasonal dishes that you'll be tasting with your eyes and nose before you even get it in your mouth. Surrounded by the most stunning setting of the old Rochelle School, hidden away in Shoreditch just by the beautiful Arnold Circus.

4) For The Beach and Beer Combo: Big Penny Social for their Walthamstow-on-Sea Beach Vibes and beer. I'm talking full sandy beach complete with beach huts in the middle of the best industrial estate (for the Blackhorse Beer Mile). If you haven't been yet, you are in for a treat!

5) For A Summer Sports Day Out: Lee Valley Park has got you covered. From White Water Rafting at Lee Valley White Water Centre to ice skating at the newly opened Lee Valley Ice Centre (complete with cafe overlooking the marshes), and the Horse Riding at Lee Valley Riding Centre.

Plus a whole host of nature walks and parks. Whether it's for beauty or adrenaline, there's so much that Lee Valley has to offer you'll be planning your next trip before you go home.

London has a tun to offer, but these are just five of my top picks for you! Whether it's with family, friends or just for you, there's so much to see and so much to do.

A little something for everyone.

What will you do?
