Bold checks and contrasting lilac collars and cuffs energise our Etta Shirtdress, a feel-good design that works for everyday. Another thing to feel good about: it's made from deadstock cotton thank would otherwise have gone to landfill. Finished with floral embroidery and natural cream Codelite® buttons, it makes a striking addition to your wardrobe.

'Absolutely love my Saywood shirt dress. It’s beautifully tailored and works well buttoned as a dress or unbuttoned with jeans and a camisole. Superb quality and unique. I couldn’t love this brand more! Genuinely something you will love for a lifetime.' Customer Review

Wash less, love always

We recommend hanging your shirt to air outdoors, rather than washing after every wear. This way, it will last longer and also have a lower environmental impact. Spot clean marks with warm soapy water, and when it does need a wash, follow our care advice:

  • Machine wash 30 degrees
  • Wash with similar colours
  • Medium iron
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not tumble dry

A note on our cotton and Codelite® buttons

Our Etta shirt is made from deadstock cotton sourced from the Riopele mill in Portugal, which has an eco-friendly ethos, including water reduction and reuse, and waste reduction. We’ve used Codelite® for our buttons, as it’s a natural material made from casein, a protein derived from milk. Codelite® is also biodegradable, which means your shirt’s impact on the environment once it reaches the end of its lifecycle will be reduced further.
