Bold checks energise our Marie blouse, a modern spin on the classic button-down. Cut with an easy A-line silhouette and half placket, it’s finished with feminine gathered frilled cuffs. Also available in white and blue.

Staying true to our ethos of sustainable design, Marie is made from deadstock viscose and acetate-blend fabric, of which only 23 metres is available – meaning it’s a limited-edition piece. Furthermore, it’s produced in London, which helps lower our carbon footprint, and finished with environmentally friendlier Codelite® buttons.

Also available in white and blue.

Fit | True to size

Blouse is a soft A-line shape, fitting neater on the shoulders and fanning out towards the hem.

Model 1 is size 8 and wearing size XS.
Model 2 is size 10 and wearing size S.

Clothing Care | Wash less, love always

We recommend hanging your shirt to air outdoors, rather than washing after every wear. This way, it will last longer and also have a lower environmental impact. Spot clean marks with warm soapy water, and when it does need a wash, follow our care advice:

- Machine wash 30 degrees
- Wash with similar colours
- Medium iron
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry

A note on our deadstock fabric and Codelite® buttons

Our Marie blouse uses a deadstock viscose and acetate-blend fabric, of which only 23 metres is available, making it a limited-edition piece. It’s sourced from the Riopele mill in Portugal, which is certified STeP by OEKO-TEX® for sustainable production. The blouse itself is made in London by Apparel Tasker, which, as a London-based brand, reduces our carbon footprint.

Aside from repurposing perfectly good waste, we used these materials as they’re natural and biodegradable: the viscose by Lenzing is made from wood fibres from sustainable forestry, while the acetate – or “Greencel” as it’s otherwise known – is woven from natural cellulose by Eastman, and can be reused indefinitely.

For our buttons, we’ve used Codelite®, as it’s a natural material made from casein, a protein derived from milk. Codelite® is also biodegradable, which means your blouse’s impact on the environment once it reaches the end of its lifecycle will be reduced further.
