The Ruffle Edge Cushion is made from twice deadstock cloth. When making garments, occasionally we have some left over cloth. Whilst we aim to order only what we need, sometimes we end up with a little bit extra. At Saywood, we will make sure we use every last bit.

A note on our cotton and cushion filler

Our Ruffle Edge Cushion is made from deadstock cotton sourced from the Riopele mill in Portugal, which has an eco-friendly ethos, including water reduction and reuse, and waste reduction. Whilst the lilac trim is woven in Italy. The cushion is crafted from these cloths, which were left over from our shirt production; nothing goes to waste.

The cushion fillers are made in the UK from the wool from British Isles sheep. Naturally pest resistant and antibacterial, with a soft cotton casing, the wool replenishes annually on the sheep, and it is biodegradable at the end of it's life. There is a vegan filler option available, made from recycled plastic bottles. Please add a note to your order for the vegan filler.
