A hybrid jean-trouser, Amelia has all the ease of denim, but the smarts of tailoring. Cut from premium Japanese denim and naturally dyed in deep indigo, they look good and feel even better on, thanks to our focus on crafting a superior fit. Tailored but not tight, they sit neatly just below the belly button, and fan out into a relaxed A-line shape to just above the ankle. Finished with our signature embroidered flower on the back pocket and a triangle cut-out detail at the waist for ease of movement.

Woven on traditional shuttle looms in Okayama and handcrafted by our London makers, the Amelia is designed to be lived in, and made to last, transcending seasons. A meeting of Japanese craftsmanship, British tailoring and timeless style.

Tailored but not tight, they sit neatly just below the belly button, and fan out into a relaxed A-line shape to just above the ankle. Clever darting on the front and back flatters the hips, bum and waist, while the roomy crotch means they’re still comfortable when sitting. Slanted side pockets keep things streamlined – and practical, too, with their deep pocket bags.

Finished with a hidden corozo button and zip-fly fastening, back patch pockets, contrast navy topstitching and our signature flower embroidery, they work anytime, anywhere.

Clothing Care | Wash less, love always

We recommend hanging your trousers to air outdoors, rather than washing after every wear. This way, they will last longer and also have a lower environmental impact. Spot clean marks with warm soapy water, and when it does need a wash, follow our care advice:

- Machine wash 30 degrees
- Wash with similar colours
- Medium iron
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry

A note on our Japanese denim and corozo buttons

Our Amelia culotte trousers are crafted from premium Japanese denim that’s been woven by artisans using traditional techniques in Ibara, Japan, and naturally dyed. They’re made in Romania by Mantra, one of the few manufacturers we work with abroad for its efforts to carbon neutrality and zero-waste stance.

Our cotton is also certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, which means it’s completely free from chemicals harmful to your skin. We’ve used corozo – known as vegetable ivory – for the button on the zipper, as it comes from a nut found in South America which can only be harvested once it naturally falls to the ground, making it a more sustainable choice. The fabric on the zipper is made from recycled polyester and the metal is nickel free.
